Police arrested a 32-year-old Hilo man for allegedly stealing cigarettes last weekend.

According to a statement, there was a break-in Sunday at a business on the 700 block of Leilani Street, with about $150 worth of cigarettes stolen. Shortly after midnight Monday, police arrested Konyaku Kaili after making a traffic stop in Hilo. He was charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary, driving without a license and driving without insurance.

His bail was set at $2,525 and his initial court appearance was Wednesday.
